Abstract

The article examines the methodological component of artistic and graphic training of higher education students in the context of modern educational standards. The relevance of the topic is due to the growing demands of society for the level of artistic and graphic competence of future teachers of technologies and art disciplines, which involves the formation of creative skills, aesthetic taste and the ability to apply artistic techniques in their professional activities. International educational documents emphasise the importance of developing cultural and artistic competence as one of the key ones in lifelong learning. At the same time, there are several problems associated with the discrepancy between the demands of society regarding the artistic and graphic training of teachers and the actual level of formed competencies in graduates of higher education institutions. The purpose of the article is to analyze the methodological aspects of artistic and graphic training of students of pedagogical specialties, characterize modern approaches and technologies of teaching and determine ways to improve the content of artistic and graphic training in higher education institutions. The role of graphic training in the professional activities of future teachers is established and the need to integrate traditional and digital graphic techniques into the educational process is substantiated. An analysis of educational programs and curricula of pedagogical specialties containing disciplines of the artistic and graphic direction is carried out. Key teaching methods are identified, in particular, the gradual mastery of artistic and graphic techniques, project-based learning, the use of interactive methods and digital technologies in art education. The issue of forming students’ creative thinking and practical skills of graphic image, which are necessary for their professional activities, is considered. The analysis of scientific literature and methodological approaches allows us to conclude that it is necessary to modernize curricula, expand the scope of practical classes and introduce interdisciplinary connections into the process of artistic and graphic training. It is proposed to improve the methodological component by integrating modern pedagogical technologies, in particular, digital tools of graphic design and multimedia tools. Thus, the methodological component of artistic and graphic training of higher education students is a complex system that requires updating taking into account modern trends in the development of art education. Changes in the educational process should be aimed at training a new generation of teachers who are able to effectively combine traditional artistic techniques with digital technologies and develop students’ creative competencies.
