INTERSCHOOL RESOURCE CENTERS: A MODERN APPROACH TO TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION

Abstract

This article addresses the current issues of modernizing technological education in Ukraine within the context of socio-economic changes and the implementation of the New Ukrainian School concept. It emphasizes the need to develop in students not only technological knowledge and skills but also key competencies that contribute to their professional self-determination and socialization. After all, technological education plays a crucial role in forming a comprehensively developed personality capable of successfully adapting to modern challenges.The problems associated with the material-technical, educational-methodical, and personnel support of technological education in general secondary education institutions are analyzed. The expediency of creating inter- school resource centers (IRCs) as an effective model for organizing technological education is substantiated, which ensures the concentration of material and technical resources, the involvement of highly qualified teachers, and the improvement of the quality of the educational process. The versatility of using such educational spaces in communities is emphasized – they can become co-working spaces where all interested community members can interact, exchange ideas, and develop their creative potential.The experience of IRCs in the Baranivka community and the city of Kropyvnytskyi is studied, demonstrating their role in developing students' creative potential, forming creative thinking, and practical skills. Special attention is paid to the organization of the educational process in IRCs, where students have the opportunity to master modern technologies, orient themselves in a profession, and develop the skills necessary for a future career. The prospects for developing a network of centers in Ukraine, their role in providing quality technological education, and students' professional self-determination are considered. The necessity for further research on training pedagogical staff to work in IRCs is emphasised.
