THE APPLICATION OF INTERACTIVE METHODS IN TEACHING COMPUTER SCIENCE

Abstract

In the conditions of innovative education, innovative tools are introduced into the educational process.Their technological and didactic capabilities improve the cognitive activity and creativity of students, increase the efficiency of learning the subject and the quality of education. In general, interactive teaching methods have great potential to improve the effectiveness of teaching computer science, and their use in modern education can help to better prepare students for the challenges of the digital age. The relevance of the study is due to the need to develop students’ cognitive activity and the insufficient use of interactive methods in practice.In this article, we emphasize the importance of interactive methods in teaching computer science and provide practical tools for their implementation. The main attention is paid to the analysis and classification of interactive teaching methods, the study of their effectiveness in teaching computer science and the consideration of methods of their implementation in the educational process. In order to summarize the previously studied material, it was proposed to use the following methods: “Brainstorming”, “Group discussion”, “Business game”, “Situation analysis”, “Work in small groups”, “Work in pairs”, “Microphone”. The analysis has shown that the use of interactive teaching methods and technologies in computer science lessons can increase students’ cognitive interest, develop skills of analysis and critical thinking, promote active learning, and stimulate motivation to study computer science.The authors provide examples of the use of such interactive methods as: “Situation Analysis”, “Business Game”, “Brainstorming”, “Small Group Discussions”, “Project Method” and “Aquarium”, “Safe-Dangerous” game. The authors present an example of developed tasks for a lesson on the topic “Communication on the Internet. Etiquette of communication in networks. Safe use of the Internet” with the use of interactive methods, which will serve as a practice for teachers to implement these methods.
