FORMATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL ETHICS AND ENVIRONMENTAL IDEAL AMONG APPLICANTS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical foundations of the formation of environmental ethics and environmental ideal among applicants for higher education during the educational process; methods, means and methods of achieving the ethical and ecological ideal, finding out the reasons and outlining possible ways to solve this problem. Considerable attention is paid to the theoretical and practical approach to the formation of modern youth environmental ethics and environmental ideal. The modern world is characterized by a constant aggravation of the ecological crisis, but the main reason is not the increase in the population on the planet, not in the innovative and technological development of all spheres of human activity, but in human relations and values that motivate human decisions.In the context of this problem, the issue of formation of environmental ethics among applicants for higher education is actualized, taking into account the environmental situation both in Ukraine and in the world. The main provisions and guidelines of ecological ethics and their influence on human consciousness and behavior in ecological and economic systems are theoretically analyzed. The theoretical principles and basic approaches to the formation of environmental ethics among applicants for higher education during their studies are considered in order to be used in further professional activities to ensure sustainable (balanced) development of society. The period of formation of research on ethics and ecology in scientific practice and their influence on the formation of environmental consciousness of the population is analyzed. The formation of environmental knowledge as an important factor in solving environmental problems that acquire a new scientific status, especially those regulated by philosophical, ideological and managerial principles, is considered. Theoretical and methodical principles of formation of fundamental views among applicants for education, which determine the current state of nature, are considered. A brief history of environmental ethics and the value potential of environmental motives are presented. The importance of higher education applicants awareness of the objectivity of the laws of environmental functioning and the need to preserve the diversity of nature, personal involvement in solving environmental problems, the belief in the need for conscious regulation of needs and consumption, the formation of practical skills on environmentally safe and competent interaction with nature. The expediency of introducing educational components in the field of ecology, environmental protection and balanced nature management in educational and professional programs for training specialists in higher education institutions in order to form environmental competence and ecological and ethical values based on the historical and philosophical experience of the relationship between man and nature, conscious environmental motivations, formation of skills and models of behavior that are safe for the environment and the health of society.
