CONCEPTUAL APPROACHES TO DEFINING THE PSYCHE AND ITS POSSIBLE REPRODUCTION IN ARTIFICIAL SYSTEMS

Abstract

The relevance of studying conceptual approaches to the definition of the psyche and its possible reproduction in artificial systems is due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence (hereinafter – AI) and cognitive sciences,which are increasingly moving closer to creating systems capable of imitating human thinking, emotions, and behavior. Given these achievements, there is a need for a deeper understanding of the nature of the psyche, as well as for research into the possibilities of its reproduction in machines, which is important not only for the developmentof scientific fields such as neuropsychology and cognitive science, but also for ethics, law, and public perception of artificial intelligence, as it can significantly change our understanding of consciousness and self-awareness withinmachine intelligence.The article examines the question of whether artificial intelligence has a psyche through the prism of modern scientific concepts of consciousness, thinking, and cognitive processes. Approaches to the definition of the psyche,its main characteristics and the possibility of their reproduction within machine learning algorithms and neuralnetworks are analyzed. The author raises the issue of differences between the human psyche and the cognitivecapabilities of AI, as well as the ethical aspects of interaction with intelligent systems. The article is devoted to theanalysis of the issue of whether artificial intelligence has a psyche through the prism of the difference in scientificconcepts of consciousness, thinking and cognitive processes of machine technologies. The main characteristics ofthe artificial intelligence psyche are studied in terms of the possibility of their reproduction within the frameworkof training algorithms, Internet technologies and neural networks. Particular attention is paid to the study of AIconsciousness as such, which affects the understanding of human cognitive processes. It is important to note that the AI psyche differs significantly from the human psyche. AI does not have emotions, needs, and motivations that are typical for humans. Nevertheless, the development of AI is already raising many questions, including ethical ones,about its use and possible consequences.
