Innovations in social support of combat participants in the process of their adaptation to peaceful life

Abstract

In the context of a full-scale war, the scientific community increasingly addresses the issue of providing society with the resources necessary for the dignified reception of returning veterans. The reintegration of veterans into civilian life requires time, effort, and innovative social technologies. The article highlights the author's views on the issue of social work with the military. The primary focus is on analyzing various innovative social technologies implemented to support combatants. It is noted that psychological assistance, including individual consultations, various forms of psychotherapy (both group and individual), and training sessions, shows significant results in working with combatants. Group psychotherapy has proven effective due to techniques of emotional and volitional self-regulation, meditation, and art therapy. The analysis of the current state of social work with military personnel indicates the need to expand its scope, particularly in the areas of socio-psychological, socio-pedagogical, and socio-informational support, as well as to improve the methods and technologies of social work with military personnel. Despite the presence of regulatory documents on rehabilitation in Ukraine, the current legislation does not ensure an adequate level of comprehensive rehabilitation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine personnel who participated in combat operations. The research emphasizes the necessity of integrating innovative social technologies into veteran assistance programs to provide adequate support and facilitate their return to civilian life.
