FACTORS OF EXTERNAL DETERMINATION OF PERSONAL PR OFESSIONAL WELL-BEING

Constantly increasing pace of changes in organizational technologies, changes in labor contracts and working time schedules have changed the nature of work in modern organizations. As the work environment slowly transforms, psychological research from around the world reports an alarming increase in occupational stress levels among workers, significant levels of burnout, distress, depression, and absenteeism due to economic, social, cultural, and technological changes. The purpose of this study is a theoretical analysis of the factors of external determination of the professional well-being of an individual. The theoretical analysis made it possible to identify several negative organizational conditions, such as perceived insecurity of employment, excessive workload, increased working hours, conflicting work requirements and uncertainty of roles, limitations of control, which lead to mental overstrain and impaired physical health, as factors of external determination of the professional well-being of an individual. The selected aspects of professional activity are primarily related to limiting the desire for safety, order, stability, and freedom from stress; is an obstacle on the way to the effective performance of work tasks and a sense of competence; interfere with autonomy and the realization of professional qualifications, and therefore are associated with the frustration of actualized needs of employees. Analysis of several cross-cultural studies revealed that the level of relevance of basic needs differs among representatives of different cultures, depending on their living conditions and cultural values. In view of this, the connection between the level of need satisfaction and professional well-being is mediated by the value priorities of employees, therefore the realization of personal values in professional activity is an important component of professional well-being. Therefore, when forming strategic tasks, the organization should proceed from the primary importance of a person with his needs and values, the stimulation of whose satisfaction is the basis of the professional well-being of employees and, accordingly, their productivity. The conclusion needs empirical confirmation, which is the perspective of our further research.
