EFFICIENCY FACTORS OF LINGUISTIC INFLUENCE ON THE COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS OF MILITARY PERSONNEL

Relevance of examining the efficiency factors of linguistic influence on the collective consciousness of military personnel stems from the growing significance of military activity in contemporary geopolitical conditions, the unique linguistic influence within military community, and the escalating influence of mass media on public consciousness.Analysis of various forms of linguistic influence within military community – considering the specific characteristics of military discourse and the capabilities of modern information technologies – has made it possible to identify key factors contributing to the efficiency of such influence on collective consciousness of military personnel. These include the timeliness of communication; informativeness; the quality of the conveyed information (reliability and verifiability); transparency of intent; objectivity in information and evaluation; logical validity of expressed opinions; critical analysis of incoming information in relation to the recipients’ collective activities; the establishment of communicator-recipient connections; addressing contentious or sensitive issues; the strategic use of media platforms; consistency of positions and principles in information delivery; regularity of updates; the communicator’s personal engagement; ethical considerations; and the communicator’s awareness of the intended goals of influence. The article provides examples illustrating how these factors affect the formation of the collective consciousness among military personnel under current operational conditions. It also emphasizes the necessity of considering these factors when selecting appropriate types and methods of language influence. Furthermore, the study evaluates the effectiveness and ineffectiveness of different forms of linguistic influence on the collective consciousness of military personnel. As a direction for further research, the article proposes the identification and development of effective communication strategies for shaping the collective consciousness of military personnel in the context of ongoing information warfare.
