PRONOMINATIVE ADJECTIVE IN THE SYSTEM OF SEMANTIC SYNTAX

Abstract

The article examines the functions of the pronominative adjective such as a component of anaphoric relations.Anaphora as a semantic category is realized, among others, at the syntactic level. The nature of anaphora implies its structure: the presence of an antecedent (semantic source) and anaphora as components of the construction.The relevance of the study of anaphoric relations in the syntactic constructions of the text is due to the special status of this semantic-syntactic category, its influence on the semantics of the statement, and the understanding of textual integrity.Anaphora plays an important role in the semantic organization of complex syntactic constructions.The purpose of the study is to determine the types of anaphoric relations in syntactic constructions with the pronominative adjective such.The goal involves the need to solve the following tasks: 1) consider anaphoric relations in syntactic constructions with the pronominative adjective such; 2) analyze semantic relations in the identified anaphoric constructions.From a semantic point of view, the following types of anaphoric relations are distinguished: object-subject, subject-subject, predicate-actant (argumentative), predicative anaphoric relations. It is considered how a pronominative adjective with a substantive forms an anaphoric pair, where one anaphoric component has a positive or negative expression. The participation of the adjective in expressing anaphoric relations of equivalence, synonymous anaphoric relations, metaphorical anaphoric relations is highlighted. The pronoun such in substantive use is analyzed.
