The phenomenon of speech etiquette, which is an integral component of professional communicative behavior, unites widespread active forms of communication that require culture and correctness, the ability to listen to the interlocutor, and regulate one's own emotional state. Ukrainian speech etiquette is distinguished by its uniqueness, as it is formed on a national basis and actively integrates generally accepted European norms, while expressing a tendency to tolerance and correctness in human relationships, contempt for aggression and brutality. Language etiquette in the study is considered in the context of a multidimensional socio-cultural phenomenon that combines linguistic, pragmatic, ethical and value components. In the practice of professional communicative behavior, the above components are manifested in the form of speech adaptation, the use of correct forms of address, polite forms of requests, softened instructions, tolerant error correction and productive criticism, the use of inclusive vocabulary and neutral forms of expression. Also important are the regulation of the tone and pace of speech, non-verbal signals. Politeness allows you to regulate your emotions and show respect for the desires and needs of other people. Also, one of the necessary skills that allows you to create a comfortable space for interaction is the ability to listen. The key challenges to the formation of effective professional communicative behavior today are seen as the rejection of emotional narratives and Russianisms, the need to develop emotional intelligence and the ability to listen to the interlocutor. Standards of speech etiquette in the digital age should be based on the unchanging values of communicative interaction – respect for the interlocutor, literacy, empathy, brevity, accuracy. Promising scientific developments should focus on the influence of digital communicative environments on speech etiquette and the study of its intercultural context.
