Conditions
To publish scholarly papers in the special issue № 2 (2026) of a peer-revied journal “History & Archaeology”, it is necessary to take the following actions until September 25, 2026:
- fill in an application form (at the link)
- send an article meeting the relevant requirements to storiataarheologia@gmail.com
No more than one article by the same author (co-author) may be published in the issue.
The editorial board encourages authors to submit manuscripts in English to facilitate the international dissemination of research findings.
Academic integrity
The editorial office guarantees high-quality anonymous peer-review of each paper. All articles are subject to plagiarism check via StrikePlagiarism.com by the Polish company Plagiat.pl.
Articles whose authors do not have a scientific degree should be supported by a review by a candidate or doctor of science in the relevant field or an extract from the minutes of the department (division) meeting on the recommendation of the article for publication.
By submitting an article to History & Archaeology, an author or a team of authors guarantees that the article is an original paper that has not been previously published or submitted for publication to another journal. They also guarantee compliance with the principles of academic integrity, and ideas that do not belong to the authors themselves are followed by appropriate references and/or citations.
The editorial board reserves the right to reject papers that do not meet the editorial requirements, are of poor scientific level, or violate the principles of scientific ethics.
Publication fee
If the article successfully passes peer review and is accepted for publication, the author will be provided with bank details for payment of the publication fee.
After making the payment, the author must send a scanned copy of the receipt to the editorial office.
The publication fee is 1100 UAH (for 12 pages inclusively). Each extra page is paid additionally (50 UAH). The publication fee covers the costs associated with peer review, article editing and proofreading, page planning, and publication of the electronic version.
The editorial board accepts for free publication individual articles by postgraduate students enrolled in state-funded programs, provided that they comply with the established requirements and principles of academic integrity.
Along with the article, postgraduate students enrolled in state-funded programs must submit a certificate from the postgraduate department confirming their enrollment. The certificate must bear the signature of the head of the postgraduate department and the official seal.
If desired, the author can order a printed copy. It costs 1000 UAH paid which is paid additionally to the publication fee.
The electronic version will be publicly available on the website by Dеcember 15, 2026.
The printed version will be sent to the authors who order it by January 15, 2027.
